We hope that you will find the information you are looking for and that if you cannot find it you will contact us. Or, better still, visit us in Brigg, which is in North Lincolnshire in the UK.

Brigg is an historic market town on the River Ancholme, just a few miles from the Humber estuary. We in the Methodist Church form one of a number of Christian communities in the town and we belong to the Barton and Brigg Circuit of the Methodist Church.

We are a disparate group of people, coming from a range of backgrounds and places and with a variety of gifts and qualities. A bit like the first disciples of Jesus. And we try to be like those disciples as we worship and serve our Master.

The safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults has become a big issue in recent months and years and it is apparent that abuse has been happening in what were thought to be the most unlikely of places, including, sadly, Christian institutions. There have been very few instances in the Methodist church, and none in Brigg. We take our responsibilities very seriously, so we have pages devoted to matters relating to Safeguarding. We hope this will reassure those who come into our premises that everything possible is being done to avoid situations where abuse can take place.
